About us
The University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM), established in 2011 and sponsored by ERD Foundation, is the first state private university in Science & Technology in Northeast India. Located at Baridua near the Assam-Meghalaya border, the university is NAAC accredited with an “A Grade” and offers 122 academic programmes across 27 departments. Recognized by UGC and various statutory bodies like AICTE, NMC, NCISM, MNC, BCI, NCTE and PCI, USTM hosts over 6,500 students, 1,500+ staff, and fosters innovation through 110+ research projects, 140+ patents, and 1,766 research papers. It offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. programmes under 12 dedicated schools across diverse disciplines.
